1 ) The walk from the Chambre d'Amour to the Biarritz lighthouse

This is one of the most emblematic walks on the Basque Coast. This path runs alongside the ocean, offering magnificent views of the Atlantic, between cliffs, fine sandy beaches and a clear horizon.

Departure is from the Chambre d'Amour district in Anglet.. The walk then continues along the coast to the tip of Cap Saint-Martin in Biarritz, with several viewpoints that are particularly popular with couples. The path is pleasant and accessible, so you can take it easy. You can also head off in the opposite direction to join the Adour branch.

Timing advice : Choose the end of the day to enjoy the soft light and the sunset over the ocean. A romantic, timeless moment on the Basque Coast!

2) The Chiberta forest: an intimate walk

The Chiberta forest is very popular with couples looking for peace and quiet. Located just a few minutes from Anglet's beaches, this unspoilt pine forest is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a special moment together. The shady paths wind between maritime pines and clearings. With the sound of birdsong and the scent of pine trees, you're in for a timeless break.

3) The Falaises promenade

The Promenade des Falaises is the perfect way to admire the Basque Coast. This easy route runs along the heights of the coastline, offering uninterrupted views of the Atlantic, the beaches of Anglet and, on a clear day, the vastness of the Landes beaches to the north. At the top of the cliff, the “Love Tower” offers a spectacular view. Below, you can discover the famous grotto of the Chambre d'Amour and its legend.

The walk can easily be combined with other coastal walks.

4) The Izadia ecological park: an original walk

For a change from seaside strolls, head to the Izadia ecological park for a romantic stroll in the heart of a natural park. protected natural area. Situated at the mouth of the Adour, this unspoilt site is very peaceful and relaxing.

The route is in largely on wooden walkways where you can observe the local flora and fauna. The landscapes alternate between wetlands, meadows and open views over the Adour.

5) The Parma route

Less well known than the coast, the The Parma route is a pleasant inland walk. The site features a number of landscaped paths surrounded by meadows, trees and open spaces. The atmosphere is particularly relaxing, ideal for a leisurely stroll for two.

The route passes through one of Anglet's oldest districts: Brindos.
